The CERDAS Project is firmly committed to advocating for the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, including in sexual and reproductive health rights and access. We aim to support the government, through relevant ministries, in formulating more effective work plans for implementing the recommendations of the CEDAW Committee. We believe this support is crucial, especially after the Indonesian government ratified Law No. 7 of 1984, which recognizes the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). With this step, the Indonesian government has officially committed to adhering to the principles of CEDAW, which include the protection of women’s rights.
