The CERDAS Project is committed to advocating for the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, including discrimination regarding sexual and reproductive health rights and access. We strive to support the government, through the relevant ministries, in formulating more effective action plans to implement the recommendations of the CEDAW Committee.
We believe that this support is crucial, especially after the Indonesian government enacted Law No. 7 of 1984, which ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). With this step, the Indonesian government has officially committed to adhering to the principles of CEDAW, which include the protection of women’s rights.
