October 7, 2022

IPAS Indonesia Foundation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University (FK Unpad), organized a training of trainers (ToT) activity. This activity aims to support the Ministry of Health in expanding access to Post-Miscarriage Care services by increasing the number of Post-Miscarriage Care Trainers who can be mobilized in the future.

The ToT was held for 5 days, from October 3-7, 2022.

The ToT activity was held for 5 days, from October 3-7, 2022, at the Hilton Bandung Hotel. A total of 34 participants attended, consisting of midwives and doctors from FK Unpad/RSHS, FK KMK UGM, and FK UI/RSCM.
This training was facilitated by Prof. Alison Edelman from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), United States, and Nadia Piedrahita, an IPAS consultant. These two main facilitators were assisted by several facilitators from FK KMK UGM.
The Training of Trainers (ToT) aims to produce training facilitators to form a pool of trainers for comprehensive women-centered Post-Miscarriage Care (women-centered care) with the concept of Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC). This pool of trainers is expected to assist the Ministry of Health as facilitators for Post-Miscarriage Care trainings, supporting the capacity building of health personnel in providing Post-Miscarriage Care services in Indonesia.
During the training, participants were equipped with special materials to enable them to become trainers and facilitators in comprehensive women-centered Post-Miscarriage Care training. In addition, participants were also trained in techniques and skills for delivering engaging and effective Post-Miscarriage Care materials, so that they can eventually conduct clinical Post-Miscarriage Care trainings.
