This project aims to strengthen the system for handling cases of violence against women and children, especially in archipelagic regions that face geographical challenges in accessing services. <\/p>\n<p>According to data from the Gender and Child Information System (SIGA) of the Ministry of Women&#8217;s Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPA), there were 502 cases of violence against women and children in Maluku throughout 2024, 186 of which were sexual violence. Nationally, the 2024 Indonesian Women&#8217;s Life Experience Survey shows that 1 in 4 women have experienced violence, including sexual violence, in their lifetime. <\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/ipasindonesiad.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/KIB08717-1024&#215;683-1.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;KIB08717-1024&#215;683&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The high incidence of this violence serves as an urgent call to implement the mandate of Law No. 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes (TPKS), which affirms victims&#8217; rights to handling, protection, and recovery. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaboration for Change<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>The Governor of Maluku Province, Hendrik Lewerissa, welcomed the launch of ARUMBAE as a form of strategic collaboration to strengthen integrated service systems.
