The IPAS Indonesia Foundation conducted a Whole Site Orientation<\/em> at 13 Puskesmas (Community Health Centers) and 3 RSUD (Regional General Hospitals) spread across Sigi, Donggala, and Parigi Moutong Regencies, Central Sulawesi Province, between January and February 2025. <\/p>\n

The Whole Site Orientation<\/em> activity aims to introduce the background, objectives, and work activities within the CERAH Project to healthcare and non-healthcare personnel at healthcare facilities (faskes) in the intervention areas. <\/p>\n

The CERAH Project<\/a> (Climate Emergency, Reproductive Rights and Health<\/em>) was launched on November 6, 2024. This project aims to support resilient primary healthcare services in the face of disaster situations exacerbated by the climate crisis. One of its services is related to reproductive health. <\/p>\n

“The objective of the Whole Site Orientation<\/em> is for all healthcare and non-healthcare personnel at these facilities to understand and support the implementation of the CERAH Project,” stated Dr. Gisella Tellys, MPH, Health System Strengthening<\/em> (HSS) Specialist<\/em> at the IPAS Indonesia Foundation. <\/p>\n

“By the end of the CERAH Project, reproductive health services and services for Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and Sexual Violence (SV) must be able to continue, even in disaster situations,” she emphasized. <\/p>\n

On this occasion, IPAS Indonesia Foundation also conducted mini Values Clarification for Action and Transformation<\/em> (VCAT) workshops at each healthcare facility to assess the perceptions and values held by health and non-health personnel regarding reproductive health and VAWC\/SV. This aims to ensure that healthcare facility staff can provide services free from stigma, discrimination, and judgment, centered on women’s needs. <\/p>\n

“We found that many healthcare personnel still hold values that are not centered on the needs of women and victims. For example, the perception that contraception must be provided with the husband’s permission is still widely found. This indicates that the understanding of women’s rights, especially Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), is not yet aligned with women’s interests,” explained Dr. Gisella. <\/p>\n

Pro-women services in reproductive health access are crucial. And this is no less important than the clinical capabilities possessed by service providers. <\/p>\n

“After the Whole Site Orientation<\/em>, the CERAH Project will facilitate a series of clinical training sessions for reproductive health services\u2014especially training on contraceptive services and training on cases of violence against women and children\u2014as well as training for relevant program managers,” she concluded. <\/p>\n

Yayasan IPAS Indonesia mengadakan Whole Site Orientation <\/em>di 13 Puskesmas dan 3 RSUD yang tersebar di Kabupaten Sigi, Donggala, Parigi Moutong, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah, dalam rentang waktu Januari hingga Februari 2025.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Kegiatan Whole Site Orientation <\/em>bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan latar belakang, tujuan, serta aktivitas kerja di dalam Proyek CERAH kepada para tenaga kesehatan dan tenaga non-kesehatan pada fasilitas kesehatan (faskes) wilayah intervensi.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Proyek CERAH<\/a> (Climate Emergency, Reproductive Rights and Health<\/em>\/ Krisis Iklim, Hak & Kesehatan Reproduksi) diluncurkan pada 6 November 2024. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk mendukung layanan kesehatan primer yang tangguh menghadapi situasi kebencanaan yang diperparah oleh krisis iklim. Salah satu layanannya adalah terkait dengan kesehatan reproduksi.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cTujuannya dari Whole Site Orientation<\/em> supaya seluruh tenaga kesehatan dan non-kesehatan di faskes tersebut dapat memahami dan mendukung pelaksanaan Proyek CERAH,\u201d sebut dr. Gisella Tellys, MPH, Health System Strengthening<\/em> (HSS) Specialist <\/em>Yayasan IPAS Indonesia.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cDi akhir Proyek CERAH, layanan kesehatan reproduksi dan layanan Kekerasan terhadap Perempuan dan Anak (KtPA) dan Kekerasan Seksual (KS) harus dapat terus berjalan, bahkan dalam situasi kebencanaan sekalipun,\u201d tegasnya.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dalam kesempatan ini pula, Yayasan IPAS Indonesia juga mengadakan lokakarya Values Clarification for Action and Transformation <\/em>(VCAT) mini di setiap fasilitas kesehatan, untuk melihat persepsi dan nilai yang dimiliki tenaga kesehatan dan non-kesehatan terkait kesehatan reproduksi dan KtP\/A-KS. Hal ini bertujuan supaya staf faskes dapat memberikan layanan yang bebas stigma, diskriminasi, dan penghakiman, yang berpusat pada kebutuhan perempuan.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cKami menemukan masih banyak tenaga kesehatan dengan nilai-nilai yang belum berpusat pada kebutuhan perempuan dan korban. Misal, persepsi bahwa pemberian kontrasepsi harus dengan izin suami masih banyak ditemukan. Ini menunjukkan pemahaman tentang hak perempuan, terutama Hak Kesehatan Seksual dan Reproduksi (HKSR) belum berpihak kepada perempuan,\u201d jelas dr. Gisella.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Layanan yang berpihak kepada perempuan dalam akses kesehatan reproduksi sangatlah penting. Dan hal ini tidak kalah pentingnya dengan kemampuan klinis yang dimiliki oleh pemberi layanan.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
