The meeting discussed the Concluding Observation of the CEDAW Committee on the Government of Indonesia&#8217;s 8th periodic report. <\/p>\n<p>Among these recommendations, issues surrounding women&#8217;s access to reproductive justice were presented by IPAS Indonesia Foundation, including:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Ministry of Law and Human Rights at central and regional levels must ensure law enforcement and capacity building for law enforcement officials regarding gender and human rights, especially when handling cases of discrimination against women and gender-based violence using a victim-centered perspective, and must conduct public awareness campaigns on related laws, such as Human Rights Law, Sexual Violence Law, Domestic Violence Law, and others.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>The Ministry of Law and Human Rights must ensure there is no further criminalization of women who are victims of discrimination and violence in legal proceedings by law enforcement officials, for example, by decriminalizing abortion for rape survivors, as seen in the case of a rape victim in Jambi who was criminalized for having an abortion.<\/li>\n<li>The Ministry of Law and Human Rights must ensure that sex workers receive equal treatment before the law, so that there is no longer stigmatization, criminalization, and discrimination against sex workers by state officials.<br \/>These are the efforts of IPAS Indonesia Foundation and CSO partners in realizing reproductive justice for survivors of sexual violence. Advocacy efforts to the government through other relevant ministries are also continuously carried out, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Women&#8217;s Empowerment and Child Protection, and others. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These are the efforts of IPAS Indonesia Foundation and CSO partners in realizing reproductive justice for survivors of sexual violence. Pertemuan tersebut membahas Concluding Observation of CEDAW Committee on Government of Indonesia 8th periodic report.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Di antara rekomendasi tersebut, isu-isu seputar akses perempuan terhadap keadilan reproduksi disampaikan oleh Yayasan IPAS Indonesia, antara lain:<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Kementerian Hukum dan HAM di tingkat pusat dan daerah perlu memastikan penegakkan hukum dan peningkatan kapasitas bagi aparat penegak hukum tentang gender dan HAM, terutama saat menangani kasus diskriminasi terhadap perempuan dan kekerasan berbasis gender menggunakan perspektif korban, serta perlu melakukan sosialisasi hukum terkait, misalnya Hukum Hak Asasi Manusia, UU Kekerasan Seksual, UU KDRT, dan sebagainya.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list --><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":2} -->\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Kementerian Hukum dan HAM perlu memastikan tidak ada kriminalisasi lebih lanjut terhadap perempuan yang menjadi korban diskriminasi dan kekerasan dalam proses hukum oleh aparat Penegak Hukum, misalnya dekriminalisasi aborsi bagi penyintas pemerkosaan seperti dalam kasus korban pemerkosaan di Jambi yang dikriminalisasi karena melakukan aborsi.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Kementerian Hukum dan HAM harus memastikan bahwa pekerja seks mendapatkan perlakuan yang sama dihadapan hukum sehingga tidak ada lagi stigmatisasi, kriminalisasi dan diskriminasi terhadap pekerja seks oleh pejabat negara.<br \/>Demikian upaya Yayasan IPAS Indonesia dan mitra CSO dalam mewujudkan keadilan reproduksi bagi penyintas kekerasan seksual.
