The increasing trend of out-of-wedlock pregnancies among adolescents encourages CIMSA to continue promoting these educational activities. According to data collected by CIMSA, approximately 276 cases of out-of-wedlock pregnancies were recorded by the end of 2021. One of the contributing factors is the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented most students from attending school and led them to engage in free sex practices (Sindonews, 2022).
Furthermore, approximately 33.3% of female adolescents and 34.5% of male adolescents aged 15-19 began dating before they reached the age of 15. At that age, it is concerning that they may not possess adequate life skills, putting them at risk of unhealthy dating behaviors, including premarital sex (pusdatin.kemkes.go.id). <\/p>\n

The IPAS Indonesia Foundation supports sexual and reproductive health empowerment activities for adolescents. This aligns with IPAS’s vision regarding the importance of bodily autonomy rights. Every adolescent must recognize their own bodily rights. In this regard, it is crucial for adolescents to understand their boundaries when dating and to be brave enough to say no; no means no. <\/p>\n
As a result, the talk show session was very lively. Participants were very enthusiastic in asking questions and responding to every challenge presented. We also distributed various merchandise as a token of appreciation. (*)<\/p>\n

Yayasan IPAS Indonesia hadir di tengah-tengah kegiatan Community Development yang diselenggarakan oleh CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical Students\u2019 Activities). Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan pada 19 November 2022 ini bertempat di SMP Wijaya Kusuma Pratama Tangerang.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n Lebih dari 80 siswa-siswi SMP dan juga anggota CIMSA Universitas Pelita Harapan belajar bersama tentang pentingnya edukasi seksual secara komprehensif. Direktur Yayasan IPAS Indonesia, dr Marcia Soumokil, MPH., secara interaktif memberikan edukasi tentang hak kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi bagi remaja.<\/p>\r\n\r\n Meningkatnya tren kasus kehamilan diluar nikah yang dialami oleh remaja mendorong CIMSA untuk terus menggalakkan kegiatan edukasi ini. Berdasarkan data yang dihimpun CIMSA, pada akhir 2021 tercatat sekitar 276 kasus hamil di luar nikah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah faktor pandemi Covid-19 yang membuat kebanyakan pelajar tidak bisa melakukan pembelajaran di sekolah dan terjerumus praktik seks bebas (Sindonews, 2022). Yayasan IPAS Indonesia mendukung kegiatan-kegitaan pemberdayaan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi untuk remaja. Sebagaimana visi IPAS tentang pentingnya memiliki hak otonomi atas tubuh. Setiap remaja harus mengenali hak katas tubuh mereka sendiri. Dalam hal ini sangat penting bagi remaja untuk memahami batasan diri ketika berpacaran, dan berani mengatakan tidak, no means no.<\/p>\r\n\r\n Alhasil, sesi talk show berlangsung sangat meriah. Selain itu, sekitar 33,3% remaja perempuan dan 34,5% remaja laki-laki yang berusia 15-19 tahun mulai berpacaran pada saat mereka belum berusia 15 tahun.
